It comes with a 3o day free trial, full function and that is what I am using for now. But, it's $179 and way out of budget at this time. It is great I think and does everything I want it to, specifically regarding LiveView. Lastly I've tried Nikon's Camera Control Pro 2, a $179 piece of software. Also, the LiveView "window" is not resizeable and is rather small, limiting the functionality of it. Although options are there to zoom up to 200%, the max it really does is 33% and then after a short while, like maybe 20-30 sec, it shuts off Live View. It has a Live View function, but, at least on my d810, Sofortbild acts squirrelly. I have used and tried again to use a German bit of freeware called Sofortbild. Yes, the way you describe LIVEVIEW, zooming in, is the way I use it and wanted to do that on the computer screen rather than the camera's LCD Since the distance from the original to the sensor is locked, I only focus once in the optical viewfinder then use live view to confirm and then shoot the whole job out refocusing. I am using my D850 with the ES-2 to copy negatives. Have you tried that? If your image to sensor distance does not change from one negative to the next, you should only have to focus once per batch/job. You will only see the image after the photo is taken and transfers to LrC.ĭo you need to focus each image/negative that you copy? In live view on the camera, use the + button to zoom in quite a way and then focus. LrC tether does not have a live on screen view. Furthermore, it appears that tethering the camera in Lightroom does not allow for LiveView either on the computer or on the camera.is that correct? If the USB is plugged in to the camera, LiveView on the camera does not work. I am digitizing some negatives and would like to use LiveView for focus, but I am having issues. Using a Nikon D810 on my Mojave Mac using Lightroom Classic 9.3.
